While Brayden Veach delivered a dominant effort on Tuesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Pearland. Veach turned in nothing short of a gem, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

Even though Veach couldn't lead Pearland over Shadow Creek, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Veach's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Oilers' six-game streak of wins on the road.
