Soccer Preview: Coventry Takes on Classical

The Coventry Oakers will square off against the Classical Lady Purple/Athena at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coventry's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Westerly 3-0. Coventry might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Classical's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Neither they nor Central could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. The result kept Classical happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 15th.

Classical's draw gives them a new season record of 7-2-6. As for Coventry, they are now 10-7-2, having gone 2-0-1 since their three-game losing streak ended.
