After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Moapa Valley, Cheyenne was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Western Warriors. The Desert Shields might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Cheyenne's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Western, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheyenne will challenge Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Desert Shields are facing the Blue Knights at the right time seeing as the Blue Knights are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Western, they will take on Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
