Softball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the La Center Wildcats, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in April.

Stevenson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Nordgaard, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for La Center, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stevenson is set to square off against their familiar foe Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, La Center will face off against rival Fort Vancouver at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
