Volleyball Recap: Whitesboro Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Saint Jo on Friday, Whitesboro came back down to earth. The Bearcats came up short against the Ponder Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Whitesboro was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-15.

Ponder can attribute much of their success to Rian Hughes, who had nine digs and seven assists.

Whitesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Ponder, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Whitesboro is set to take on their familiar foe Pilot Point at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ponder will face off against rival Boyd at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
