It was a good run, but Lapel unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hagerstown Tigers by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Tigers' pitchers proved too tough.

Lapel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Nunley, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Lapel's loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Hagerstown, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lapel will challenge Elwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hagerstown, they will welcome Franklin County at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
