Basketball Recap: Twiggs County Comes Up Short

Twiggs County suffered their closest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans by a score of 57-55. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Twiggs County still got an impressive performance from Daniel Pitts, who posted 30 points. That's the most points Pitts has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kamauree Butler, who scored seven points.

Ty Hunnicutt was his usual excellent self, putting up 17 points for Tattnall Square Academy.

Twiggs County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Twiggs County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-43 win against Georgia Military College on the 31st. Tattnall Square Academy has also already played their next game, a 68-52 victory against Mount de Sales Academy on the 31st.
