East Mecklenburg took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Harding University Rams to the tune of 57-17. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 36-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Mecklenburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jurnee Darling, who went 8-for-11 on her way to 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Darling a new career-high in field goal percentage (73%). Alana Jones was another key player, shooting 56% from the field en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Coming up, East Mecklenburg will take on Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding University, they will face off against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
