Softball Recap: West Potomac Has No Trouble Against Mount Vernon

West Potomac barely beat Mount Vernon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Majors with a sharp 9-0 win on Tuesday. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Wolverines this season.

Jillian Lafayette was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley McGuckin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

West Potomac's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Mount Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

As of now, neither West Potomac nor the Majors have any future games scheduled.
