Football Game Preview: Douglas County Huskies vs. Legend Titans + How To Watch

Douglas County is 0-8 against Legend since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Huskies will host the Titans at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Douglas County is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Regis Jesuit on Friday. The Huskies came up short against the Raiders, falling 52-31.

Despite the defeat, Douglas County got top-tier performance from Asher Schembri, who picked up 210 receiving yards and one touchdown. Schembri's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Jaden Adragna was another key player, throwing for 409 yards and three TDs.

Meanwhile, Legend faced Fountain-Fort Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Trojans, posting a 56-13 victory. Considering the Titans have won six contests by more than 26 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Douglas County better keep an eye on Dj Bordeaux. He was instrumental in Legend's win, throwing for 229 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 76 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Another rusher making a difference was Ryken Banks, who gained 145 total yards and two touchdowns.

Legend pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games. As for Douglas County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Douglas County was taken down by Legend 48-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Huskies, Jaden Lawrence (who rushed for 132 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
