Soccer Game Preview: Seventy-First vs. St. Pauls

Seventy-First hasn't had much luck against St. Pauls recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Seventy-First is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Douglas Byrd an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Seventy-First haven't had any issues with Douglas Byrd recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Emerson Alvarado and Caden Farrington scored all eight of Seventy-First's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, St. Pauls made easy work of Seventy-First on Monday and carried off an 11-2 victory. St. Pauls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by four goals or more this season.

St. Pauls' win bumped their record up to 9-3-2. As for Seventy-First, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9-2.

Seventy-First might still be hurting after the 11-2 defeat they got from St. Pauls when the teams last played on Monday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 8-1.
