Basketball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast lost to Broken Arrow back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 71-44. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Tigers are ranked 12th).

Southeast has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Broken Arrow, their record is now 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Southeast will head out to face off against Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broken Arrow, they and Shawnee will face off at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played.
