Softball Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Aurora Blackhawks.

Elmwood Park saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Serrano-LeFevour, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Elmwood Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for West Aurora, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmwood Park will host DePaul College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Aurora, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ridgewood at 4:30 p.m. The Rebels will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
