Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. Nova Titans
This season hasn't been kind to the West Broward Bobcats, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were beaten by Nova 60-14 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, West Broward can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while Nova is ranked 94th).
J'Yan Tyrell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Nova, scoring 31 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Tyrell has scored at least 25% of Nova's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamiyah Bedford, who scored 7 points along with 6 steals.
West Broward's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nova, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Broward will take on Coral Springs Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nova, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deerfield Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Deerfield Beach is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
