Football Recap: Riverside-Durham Falls to East Wake in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Riverside-Durham had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the East Wake Warriors and fell 42-6.

Jesiah Johnson threw for 151 yards and one TD. Dakari Monds was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards.

East Wake had a senior duo take command as Maurice Maloy threw for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Khalee Batts rushed for 83 yards and two scores.

Riverside-Durham has already played their next contest, a 63-26 defeat against Sanderson on the 29th. As for East Wake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-14 loss against Rocky Mount on the 28th.
