Basketball Recap: Mccormick Piles Up the Points Against Calhoun Falls Charter

McCormick was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Calhoun Falls Charter on Friday. The McCormick Chiefs took their match with ease, bagging a 55-26 victory over the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Several Blue Flashes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tamariuna Paul, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Paul has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last four times she's played. Alexis Sanders was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight rebounds and eight blocks.

McCormick's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind the next time they take the court. Calhoun Falls Charter will host South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while McCormick will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
