Baseball Recap: Temecula Valley Comes Up Short

Temecula Valley lost against Vista Murrieta last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 10-9. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taden Krogsgaard was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Krogsgaard was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Rocco Pugliese was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Ryan Recio was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Temecula Valley's record is now 8-7. As for Vista Murrieta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5-1.

Temecula Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Chaparral on the 14th. As for Vista Murrieta, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-3 victory against Great Oak on the 14th.
