Basketball Game Preview: Trezevant Bears vs. White Station Spartans

The Trezevant Bears will venture away from home to square off against the White Station Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trezevant will head into Friday's game on the come-up: they were handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-30 win over Lausanne Collegiate. The 33-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, White Station took their contest two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 55-26 victory over Ridgeway. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White Station's win came from a few key players Trezevant will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lily Pruitt, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Anderson, who posted ten points and six steals.

White Station pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Trezevant, their record is now 6-7.
