Basketball Game Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Prospect Panthers

Prospect came into Friday's match looking for another win against Lincoln, but Joseph Shelton wouldn't allow it. The Lincoln Lions slipped by the Prospect Panthers 50-49 on Friday thanks in part to Shelton, who posted 23 points and five assists. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Lincoln's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-8. As for Prospect, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will challenge Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for Prospect, they will square off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
