Pinewood Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics on Wednesday. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 12-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Max Poulakis and Will Watson did most of the damage at the plate: Poulakis went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs, while Watson went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Watson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Pinewood Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics only posted an OBP of .227.

The win (which was Pinewood Prep's fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they moved to 8-12 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Pinewood Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they will square off against First Baptist School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Hurricanes have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games.
