Basketball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homer-Center Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-53 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Max Voyda, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 15 rebounds for Homer-Center. The matchup was Voyda's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Angelo Alexander was another key player, putting up 12 points and six boards.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Homer-Center, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

River Valley will host Penns Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Homer-Center, they will be playing at home against Cambria Heights at 7:10 p.m. on Monday.
