Basketball Game Preview: Cusick Panthers vs. Rosalia Spartans

The Cusick Panthers will square off against the Rosalia Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Cusick and four for Rosalia.

Cusick is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 70-44 to Inchelium back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Hornets are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, Rosalia took a blow against Oakesdale on Saturday, falling 53-14. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cusick's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rosalia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Cusick strolled past Rosalia when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 57-41. Does Cusick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rosalia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
