Basketball Recap: Devon Deharo Key Part of Team Effort in Acorns Win

Live Oak's game on Wednesday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-53 back in January.

Live Oak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devon DeHaro, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave DeHaro a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Lozano, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Live Oak and bumps their season record up to 11-12. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 6-17 Ann Sobrato and 9-12 Oak Grove. As for Ann Sobrato, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Coming up, Live Oak will be playing at home against Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season. As for Ann Sobrato, they will venture away from home to challenge Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
