Softball Recap: Cedar Falls Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

While Cedar Falls didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Iowa City West Trojans on Thursday as they made off with a 14-2 win. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Cedar Falls' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average this season. As for Iowa City West, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cedar Falls didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against Charles City on the 30th. As for Iowa City West, they will take on Xavier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
