Baseball Recap: Skyline Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Skyline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Taylorsville Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Xaidan Butcher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Skyline hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Taylorsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10.

Skyline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
