            The Tamaqua Blue Raiders will take on the Conrad Weiser Scouts at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tamaqua has six straight  wins, Conrad Weiser has 13 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday,  it was close, but  Tamaqua sidestepped Pine Grove for  an  8-6 victory.

Meanwhile,  Mateyak   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Ligenza  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs, while  Mateyak  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  two  runs gave  Mateyak a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Ansbach was a standout: he got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Luke Kane was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Meanwhile, Conrad Weiser came up short against Pottsville on Tuesday and fell  7-4.
 Tamaqua's win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-1. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Conrad Weiser, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
