Soccer Game Preview: Meadowbrook vs. Colonial Heights

The Meadowbrook Monarchs will head out to take on the Colonial Heights Minuteman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meadowbrook's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Meadowbrook lost 4-1 to Prince George on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Colonial Heights' game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Hopewell. The win made it back-to-back victories for Colonial Heights.

Colonial Heights' win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Meadowbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.

Everything went Meadowbrook's way against Colonial Heights when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Meadowbrook made off with a 6-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
