Volleyball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville lost against Fredericktown back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Freddies, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.

Danville's offense was headlined by Zoey Neitzelt and Kyla Kidwell, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kenzi Staats and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Fredericktown to victory were Halie Mull and Zoey Horlacher. Mull had four aces and three digs, while Horlacher had eight digs.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fredericktown, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Danville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Northmor on the 21st. As for Fredericktown, they will square off against North Union at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
