Baseball Game Preview: White Castle Bulldogs vs. St. John Eagles

White Castle hasn't had much luck against St. John recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. White Castle will host St. John at 4:00 p.m.

White Castle is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 8-4 to East Iberville.

Meanwhile, St. John made easy work of North Iberville on Tuesday and carried off a 16-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

St. John's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for White Castle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

White Castle suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to St. John when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can White Castle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
