The defeat comes as a step back for Loyola, which notched a 42-7 victory over Newport Harbor in its previous outing. With the win St. John Bosco extended its winning streak to four games. The loss snapped Loyola's 3-game winning streak.
St. John Bosco (4-0) will play a non-conference game against Jordan next week, while Loyola (3-1) will take on Mira Costa also in a non-conference game.
