Softball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on Wednesday, Cheyenne came back down to earth. The Desert Shields lost 13-3 to the Del Sol Dragons on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on April 8th.

Cheyenne's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Del Sol, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cheyenne will challenge rival Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Del Sol is set to face off against their familiar foe Virgin Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Dragons have won five straight at home, while the Bulldogs won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
