Warwick came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Middletown Middie Bears 38-36. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Middie Bears are ranked 596th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warwick pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Middletown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
