Basketball Recap: DasCHE Comes Up Short

DasCHE lost against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The DasCHE Spartans took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 581st in Texas, while Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF are ranked 158th in Kansas).

Despite the loss, DasCHE still got an impressive performance from Jadon Comeaux, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. The match was Comeaux's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Liam O'Grady was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 11 points.

DasCHE has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-17 record this season. The win was the third in a row for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, bringing their record for this year to 15-12.

Coming up, DasCHE won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Omaha R at 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday. DasCHE has given up an average of 62 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
