Baseball Game Preview: Del City Eagles vs. Bethany Bronchos

Del City hasn't had much luck against Bethany recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Del City will venture away from home to face off against Bethany at 11:00 a.m. Del City has given up an average of 16.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Del City is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 26-2 to Noble.

Del City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Alexander hit this season.

Meanwhile, Bethany made easy work of MacArthur on Saturday and carried off a 9-1 win. The Bronchos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Bethany is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Del City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Del City suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Bethany in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Del City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
