Soccer Game Preview: William Penn vs. Mount Pleasant

The William Penn Colonials will head out to face off against the Mount Pleasant Green Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. William Penn's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for William Penn's offense. They came up short against Red Lion Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant came up short against St. Georges Tech on Tuesday and fell 4-2. Mount Pleasant haven't had much luck with St. Georges Tech recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mount Pleasant now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for William Penn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

William Penn came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Pleasant when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
