The Excel Christian Academy Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Detroit with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-51. The victory was just what Excel Christian Academy needed coming off of a 66-42 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Excel Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Kelley, who scored 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kelley has scored at least 25% of Excel Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Ward, who scored 14 points.
The win got Excel Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Detroit, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Excel Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Whitewright at 2:40 p.m. on December 7th. Whitewright is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Detroit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bland at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
