Baseball Recap: Bend Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Bend barely beat Redmond the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lava Bears never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lava Bears, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Cash Hattenhauer, who gave up just three hits to keep Redmond off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Will Goodman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kaden Cooper was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Bend has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Redmond, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Bend will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
