Basketball Recap: South Broward Extends Winning Streak to Five

With a playoff win on the line, South Broward rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dr. Krop Lightning as they made off with a 58-37 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ayonna Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Those 30 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris George, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 11 boards, and ten assists.

South Broward was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win (which was South Broward's fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-9. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points per game. As for Dr. Krop, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-10.

As of now, neither South Broward nor Dr. Krop have any future games scheduled.
