Volleyball Game Preview: Burton Scorpions vs. Animo Pat Brown Gryphons

Burton is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, they and the Animo Pat Brown Gryphons will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 4:00 p.m. Burton is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Burton came up short against Garfield last Wednesday, falling 3-0.

While Burton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Garfield's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Animo Pat Brown made easy work of University Pathways Public Service Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Animo Pat Brown never let University Pathways Public Service Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 27-25, 25-13.

Burton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Animo Pat Brown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
