New Paltz is a perfect 4-0 against Beacon since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Huguenots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

New Paltz managed to slip by Wallkill the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huguenots came up short against the Panthers on Monday, falling 10-4. The Huguenots' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Savannah Trinkle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Beacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to Port Jervis.

Beacon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Lassiter, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

New Paltz's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Beacon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Beacon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: New Paltz hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. It's a different story for Beacon, though, as they've only averaged .230. Will they be able to contain New Paltz's hitters?

Everything went New Paltz's way against Beacon in their previous matchup back in April, as New Paltz made off with a 19-0 victory. Do the Huguenots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
