Basketball Recap: Mamou Takes a Loss

Mamou's tournament run continued when they took on Sterlington on Thursday. The Mamou Demons took a blow against the Sterlington Panthers, falling 45-13. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Panthers are ranked 63rd).

Mamou has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Sterlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Mamou wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-41 loss against Springfield on the 3rd. Sterlington has also already played their next matchup, a 54-47 defeat against French Settlement on the 3rd.
