Basketball Game Preview: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Jupiter Warriors

The Jensen Beach Falcons will challenge the Jupiter Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jupiter is hoping to do what Vero Beach couldn't on Monday: put an end to Jensen Beach's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Jensen Beach really took it to Vero Beach for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-35 victory. With the Falcons ahead 37-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Jensen Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lizzie Fitzwater, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points along with six assists and six boards. Fitzwater continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Brinkley, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Meanwhile, Jupiter got the win against South Fork on Monday by a conclusive 56-30. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jensen Beach's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Jupiter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Jensen Beach skirted past Jupiter 39-36 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Does Jensen Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jupiter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
