Basketball Recap: Adelanto Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Adelanto won the last time they faced Victor Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Adelanto Saints sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 victory over the Victor Valley Jackrabbits. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 757th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Victor Valley still got an impressive performance from AXEL SOSA, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was KAYDEN MURRAY, who posted eight points.

Adelanto is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Victor Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Adelanto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-41 win against Liberty on the 18th. As for Victor Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-41 loss against Silverado on the 22nd.
