Softball Recap: American Fork Takes a Loss

American Fork had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 8-11 to make it four. They lost 14-0 to the Lehi Pioneers. Considering the last time the Cavemen couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Lehi, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

For Lehi's part, the result came thanks to Abbi Harroun's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. Harroun has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophie Bliss and Piper Emery did most of the damage at the plate: Bliss went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Emery went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Emery has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Grose, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

American Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-3 loss against Westlake on the 24th. As for Lehi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Lone Peak on the 24th.
