Basketball Recap: East Chicago Central Takes a Loss

East Chicago Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Benton Central Bison, falling 59-34. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Bison are ranked 109th).

East Chicago Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Benton Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

East Chicago Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benton Central, they will challenge Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
