Basketball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-42 loss at the hands of the St. Georges Tech Hawks. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-19.

Joshua Obiora continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Georges Tech, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Obiora's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Emory Womack was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for St. Georges Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concord will welcome Wilmington Charter at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Georges Tech, they will be playing at home against Polytech at 2:00 p.m. on February 1st.
