Basketball Recap: Alan Ly's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Balboa over Lincoln

Balboa lost against Lincoln back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Balboa Buccaneers came up short against the Lincoln Mustangs, falling 67-43. The Buccaneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alan Ly, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. The contest was Ly's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davonte Lindsey, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Balboa's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Balboa will challenge Lowell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will host Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
