Volleyball Recap: Bishop Moore Comes Up Short

Bishop Moore and Lake Howell squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bishop Moore had to settle for second. They came up short against the Silverhawks, falling 3-0. The Hornets have struggled against the Silverhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-16.

Alexander Cameron paced Bishop Moore's offense, picking up nine kills. Cameron got some help from Gabe Callejas and his 19 assists. Finally, Philip Hanna kept Bishop Moore's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Bishop Moore's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Lake Howell, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-2.

Bishop Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Howell, they will venture away from home to face off against Suncoast at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Silverhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
