Soccer Recap: Sherando Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Sherando has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They came up short against the Kettle Run Cougars on Tuesday, falling 4-0. If Sherando were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to Kettle Run when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sherando's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Kettle Run, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Looking ahead, Sherando will head out on the road to take on Manassas Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sherando will be up against Manassas Park's rather soft defense (which has allowed 8.89 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kettle Run, they will host Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meridian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kettle Run surely won't give up without a fight.
