Volleyball Recap: Elkmont Comes Up Short

Elkmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clements Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Elkmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Clements, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Coincidentally, Elkmont and Clements will both be playing Decatur Heritage Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Red Devils will host the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Colts will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
